Category & Requirements

Since 2013, the granting of Primaniyarta Award is divided into 4 categories namely the High-Performance Exporters, the Global Brand Developers, the Superior Potential Exporters, and the Exporters of New Market Pioneer. Basically, the assessment of the 4 categories is based on the criteria of capabilities to increase export values, to diversify the markets and products, to arrange strategies to face the economic and market competition challenges. In addition, the compliances in any sectors such as financial credit, taxation, customs, labor, environmental sustainability, and social responsibilities are also assessed.

There is a general requirement for the participants of Primaniyarta Award, which required the participant companies not to have any problems related to:

  1. Financial credit (no Not-Performing-Loan within a year)
  2. Taxation (administratively)
  3. Labor
  4. Brand forgeries
  5. Environment contamination

This year there is an addition of green product criteria in every category, especially for natural resources export and processed products which have the potential of polluting the environment, such as accumulator industry. This addition is aimed to support the development of sustainable products. Thus, there is a need of strategic thinking in how products are integrated in the effort to optimalize natural resources use and minimize the potential damages.

While the specific requirements of each category based on:

1. The High-performance Exporter Category

  • Having a complete permit such as SIUP, NPWP, Industrial Licenses and TDP.
  • Doing export for 5 years in a row with increasing value of exports.
  • c. Preferred export value-added products.
  • Having positive export trend.
  • Having the value of exports greater than the value of imports, if importing raw materials.

 2. The Global Brand developers Category

  • Having a complete permit such as SIUP, NPWP, Industrial Licenses and TDP.
  • Performing export activities for 3 years in a row of its own brands and are registered in Indonesia with the ever increasing value of exports.
  • Performing the export by using their own brand that has been registered in the country of export destination of at least 3 countries.

 3. The Superior Potential Exporters Category

According to UU No.20 2008, the criteria for Small and Medium Enterprises are as follow:

  • Small Enterprises Exports are exporters who have:
    1. Net worth more than Rp. 50 million up to Rp. 500 million, not including land and buildings; or
    2. Having annual sales more than Rp. 300 million up to Rp. 2,5 billion.
  • Medium Enterprises Exports are exporters who have:
    1. Net worth more than Rp.500 million up to Rp.10 billion, not including land and buildings; or
    2. Having annual sales more than Rp. 2,5 billion up to Rp. 50 billion.
  • Having a complete permit such as SIUP, NPWP, Industrial Licenses and TDP/TDI.
  • Performing export activities for 3 years in a row for small enterprises and 5 years in a row for medium enterprises with increasing value of exports.
  • The value of export transaction is greater than the value of domestic transactions.

 4. Exporters of New Market Pioneers Category

  • Having a complete permit such as SIUP, NPWP, Industrial Licenses and TDP.
  • Doing export for 3 years in a row to the non-traditional countries that do not need to have a positive trend for the performance since it will be seen from the persistence of the firms entering those export market.
  • Exports to countries with substantial risk (political risk or economic/payment risk or difficult transportation or difficult to find a trusted importer or unclear import provisions) or any other country that has not been touched by Indonesian exporters who export certain products.
  • Products that exported are the only product that came from Indonesia (there are no other Indonesia exporters exporting that product).
